About Michelle Pashko

Where Nature Meets Canvas

I'm Michelle Pashko, a Canadian artist based in Caesarea, Ontario — living lakeside, surrounded by the wildlife and landscapes that inspire every brushstroke.

My work is rooted in a deep love for the natural world. Growing up on a farm in rural Ontario in the 70s and 80s, I was immersed in a world of wildflowers, changing seasons, and the quiet beauty that blooms when you slow down enough to notice it. That sense of wonder has never left me.

The Work

I paint primarily in acrylic using impasto techniques — thick, expressive brushwork that gives each piece a dimensional, tactile quality you can almost feel. I also work with alcohol inks, which bring a fluid, luminous energy to wildlife portraits and abstract backgrounds. Many pieces combine both, layering rich texture with vibrant, flowing colour.

My subjects range from the majestic — wolves, cougars, herons, eagles — to the quietly beautiful: wildflower fields, lily ponds, cottage country sunsets. Each painting tells a story, and each one is completely one of a kind. Once it's sold, it's gone forever.

Original Art & Prints

I offer original paintings as well as limited edition signed and numbered prints for those who want to bring a piece of the wild into their home at a more accessible price point. I also take commissions for custom pet portraits and memorial paintings — a deeply personal way to honour the animals we love.

Living Lakeside

Living on the water has given me an intimate relationship with the Great Blue Heron, the kingfisher, the loon — creatures I watch from my studio window and paint from the heart. Every piece in my collection carries a piece of that place.

Thank you for being here. I hope my work brings a little of the wild into your world. XO
